CHAPTER VIII
THE SOURCEs OF ISLAM
There are two sources
of the religion of islam. These
sources are the Qur’an and Sunnah. The
Qur’an is God’s word which were revealed to the Prophet Muhammad and the Sunnah
is the prophet’s tradition. The Qur’an is a Guidance from God for All Human
beings. Therefore, God’s words which were written in the Qur’an should be read
by all Human Beings. God wants All Human Beings
to be happy in the world an in the life hereafter by giving the guidance
and rules written in the Qur’an. Therefore, All people who want to be happy and
safe in their life should know what is said by God in the Qur’an. Their
happiness lies in their obedience to the guidance of the God.
God sent the Prophet
Muhammad as his messenger to instruct all people how to obey and to follow his
guidance. What the prophet did was to explain, to inform and to give examples.
Everything from the Prophet was considered as the sunnah or Prophe’s tradition,
And it is the second source of islamic teaching. Therefore, what the prophet
did and said also what his companions did and hee agreed to all of these are
the sources of islam.
All Muslim accept and
follow guidance from Allah and his messenger according to what is written in
the Qur’an and what was thaught by the prophet as his Sunnah.
SUMBER-SUMBER ISLAM
Ada dua sumber-sumber
dari agama islam. Sumber-sumber ini adalah Qur’an dan hadis. Qur’an adalah
perkataan/kalam Tuhan yang menjadi wahyu untuk Nabi Muhammad dan hadis adalah
tradisi/kebiasaan para Nabi. Qur’an adalah petunjuk dari Tuhan untuk semua
manusia. Oleh karena itu, perkataan/kalam Tuhan yang ditulis dalam Qur’an akan
menjadi bacaan oleh semua manusia. Tuhan ingin semua manusia menjadi bahagia di dunia dan kehidupan
selanjutnya dengan memberikan petunjuk dan peraturan yang tertulis dalam
Qur’an. Oleh karena itu, semua manusia yang ingin bahagia dan aman hidupnya
sebaiknya tahu apa yang dikatakan Tuhan di dalam Qur’an. Mereka merasa senang
berada dalam keta’atannya untuk mendapat petunjuk dari Tuhan.
Tuhan mengirim Nabi
Muhammad sebagai pesuruh/rasulnya untuk mengajarkan semua manusia bagaimana
caranya untuk ta’at dan mengikuti petunjuknya. Apa yang dilakukan Nabi untuk
menjelaskan, untuk memberitahu dan untuk memberi contoh. Semua yang di
pertimbangkan Nabi sebagai hadis atau kebiasaan para Nabi, dan itu adalah
sumber kedua dari ajaran islam. Oleh karena itu, apa yang dilakukan dan
dikatakan dan juga apa yang dilakukan para sahabat dan dia menyetujui semua ini
adalah sumber-sumber islam.
Semua umat muslim
menerima dan mengikuti petunjuk dari Allah dan rasulnya berdasarkan apa yang
tertulis dalam Qur’an dan apa yang di ajarkan Nabi sebagai hadisnya.

Qur’an adalah
perkataan/kalam Tuhan yang menjadi wahyu untuk Nabi Muhammad dan hadis adalah
tradisi/kebiasaan para Nabi.
The Qur’an is a Guidance from God for All Human
beings.
Qur’an adalah petunjuk
dari Tuhan untuk semua manusia.
Therefore,
God’s words which were written in the Qur’an should be read by all Human
Beings.
Oleh karena itu,
perkataan/kalam Tuhan yang ditulis dalam Qur’an akan menjadi bacaan oleh semua
manusia.

Tuhan ingin semua
manusia menjadi bahagia di dunia dan
kehidupan selanjutnya dengan memberikan petunjuk dan peraturan yang tertulis
dalam Qur’an.

Oleh karena itu, semua
manusia yang ingin bahagia dan aman hidupnya sebaiknya tahu apa yang dikatakan
Tuhan di dalam Qur’an.
Their happiness lies in their obedience to the
guidance of the God.
Mereka merasa bahagia
berada dalam keta’atannya untuk mendapat petunjuk dari Tuhan.

Tuhan mengirim Nabi
Muhammad sebagai pesuruh/rasulnya untuk mengajarkan semua manusia bagaimana
